Srinivas (Srini) Siripurapu, PhD, is Vice President of Global Technology at General Cable and has been with the company since January 2012. In this role, Srini has functional leadership for Engineering and Research & Development teams to drive Innovation, Value Engineering and Talent Management. He is responsible for General Cable’s technology strategy by challenging the boundaries of the current portfolio and driving an innovation pipeline to create industry leading new products and services.
Srini began his career with General Electric Company and held multiple roles of increasing responsibility in product development and technology innovation. He has proven experience in all stages of innovation—from ideation to development and commercialization of new products for multiple market segments including Energy, Electrical Infrastructure, Communication, Automotive, Aerospace, Healthcare, and Consumer Electronics. Srini is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and holds an extensive patent estate and also has been active in publishing in peer-reviewed journals. He is a recognized industry expert in High-Performance Polymer Blends & Alloys, Functional Coatings and Zero-Halogen Flame-Retardant Technologies.
Srini has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, and a MS and PhD in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
