Data integration in science is unlike any other field due to the sheer volume of data and its inherent complexity. Regardless of discipline, open access to correlated scientific data means faster, better experimentation. Currently, there are many different silos of information that have been painstakingly collected. And there are a number of existing tools that bring some strands of data into relationship. But there is no overarching tool that can be used across silos, so it is highly important to review best practices and look to current and future trends.
