Residential buildings use more electricity than any other sector in the United States, with appliances like washers, dryers, and dishwashers accounting for about 62 percent of total residential energy consumption. To more efficiently use energy, many homeowner have turned to home automation technologies like Nest thermostats and Google Home personal assistants. However these home automation devices rely on a number of different apps and products to work and require the homeowner to be very actively involved. foresee is a secure home automation system that coordinates the operation of these connected appliances for the homeowner, as well as home batteries, and rooftop solar. foresee customizes itself to each home and family to deliver an optimum balance of comfort, convenience, bill savings, and grid benefits. Current results show foresee can provide homeowners between 5 percent and 7.6 percent whole-home energy savings.
