Detergent-Assisted Fabrication

Organization: Sandia National Laboratories (SNL)
Year: 2018

Detergent-Assisted Fabrication enables the production of new multifunctional nanomaterials with more uniform and reproducible properties and better performance than is possible with current fabrication methods, while potentially reducing manufacturing and user costs, improving manufacturability, and minimizing environmental and safety concerns. The technology allows for significantly greater flexibility in the control of material architectures and properties, creating materials suitable for wide applications—from photocatalysis to therapeutics to energy generation— that are not attainable by materials from current processing methods.
