Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) 370 Resin for High-Temperature Applications is a solvent-free resin with a low-melt viscosity and a long pot-life, suitable for low-cost liquid molding and complex parts fabrication in high temperature applications. The high glass transition temperature, low melt viscosity, and long shelf life make the RTM370 suitable for composite fabrication—without the use of toxins or solvents— by injection molding, resin transfer molding (RTM), resin film infusion (RFI) or vacuum-assisted resin transfer molding (VARTM). With the simpler, less costly processing required to produce RTM370 and the high temperature performance displayed by RTM370 composites, this invention represents a breakthrough in materials and processing that will have a significant impact on the market across many industries. Composites made from RTM370 can replace any metallic part, providing lightweight materials with high performance. RTM370’s applications include aerospace and aircraft components, automobile engines, oil-drilling equipment, electrical and composite coatings.
