ZEISS Celldiscoverer 7 is fully integrated high-end automated research microscope imaging system for live and fixed samples, designed so that even the most inexperienced microscope user can capture high quality data with ease. The technology features multiple and extremely stable incubation options, ideal for live sample imaging. The high sensitivity and gentle approach of the beam path ensures that imaging living samples over days, and even weeks, can be performed with minimal bleaching and phototoxicity. The guaranteed automatic optimal image quality also has great benefits for fixed specimens, as it reduces the exposure times required (and so increases acquisition speed) and also reduces the possibility of any bleaching. For transmitted light imaging, the new optical concept of ZEISS Celldiscoverer 7 has been co-designed with the brand-new adaptive phase gradient contrast. This contrast technique is compatible with all types of sample carrier and with all materials. This opens up the possibility of label-free imaging for all samples, something that has not be feasible on an inverted microscope before.
