The Fragment Analyzer FEMTO Pulse was developed to address the unmet needs of the genomic industry: namely ultra-low detection limits and the ability to rapidly determine the size/quantity of large fragment DNA up to 165,000 base pairs, which shortens the analysis time to one hour, as opposed to the 14-36 hours required for traditional pulse-field gel electrophoresis. This was the result of more than six years of research into new methods for DNA detection. In the world of capillary electrophoresis, this breakthrough is new to the world of technology. The system is capable of measuring ultra-low levels of DNA/RNA, which enables technology such as Free-Floating Tumor DNA, single-cell analysis and PCR-free preparation of "next generation libraries."
